If you’ve spent any time on the North Shore, there’s a good chance you’ve driven past JustWorkout Takapuna. Sitting on Barry’s Point Road, this was our very first North Shore club which opened in 1999. Over the years we’ve kept our cardio and strength equipment up-to-date and we’ve added world class group fitness programmes along the way. And needless to say, our professional staff are highly motivated to help members achieve their fitness goals. Change up you. We have just updated to some of the world’s best Cardio equipment from True Fitness USA. The Treadmills, Bikes and Crosstrainers are super smooth and feature touch screen TVs for both Sky and Freeview channels and virtual tours of amazing world famous trails. You can also bring your iphone or ipod and play your own music and videos while you workout.
Our Free Weights areas are large and functional. You will find some hidden benefits in the equipment selection like the Unique Unstable Leg Press. Paul Chek Quad crossover, FreeForm Bench Press, Incline and Shoulder Press machines that allow safe, muscle balanced repetitions with an extended range of motion. Plus there is plenty of dumbbells, olympic bars, power racks, kettle bells and a bumper plate lifting platform.
Our Machine and Circuit areas are large and functional. You will find some extra benefits in most equipment like the Dual Action Seated rows, Dual Action Leg Extension and Leg Curl. Our unique Power Weight stacks enable faster repetitions under load. The Cybex range of machines have increment weights and the leg versions have range limiting settings to assist with anyone needing low weight resistance.
Our Takapuna club has a large air conditioned Group Fitness Studio. On offer are International Group Fitness brand RADICAL FITNESS classes including X55 (step and hand weights), POWER (barbell), FACTOR-F (TRX & functional circuit) and KI-MAX (boxing and Kickboxing) plus there’s the ever popular PILATES, YOGA and ZUMBA FITNESS classes too. Most JustWorkout memberships include easy to follow picture based workout programs. We offer four free appointments with our fitness instructors per year for program updates. During staffed hours our instructors provide on the floor tips and variation suggestions to keep your workouts interesting.
Personal Trainers guide and encourage you through your workouts, increasing your efficiency, motivation and accountability with every session. They accommodate your goals, physical condition and medical history, using their expertise to ensure you get the most out of your time at the gym.
